Surfers for Autism

Surfers for Autism 2016 – Fantastic Day!

Surfers for Autism was held on Saturday 13 February @ Nobbys Beach.

A fun filled day for the whole family. Watch this space for photos from the day.

Surfers for Autism is an annual event run by Hunter Connect Families Inc.

Surfers for Autism not only raises awareness for children on the Autism Spectrum and those experiencing neurological development disorders, it helps them to over come Sensory processing issues and lets them enjoy Sun, Surf and Sand, in an environment catering to them.

All our surf volunteers have a Working with Children Check clearance and will take your child(ren) into the surf off Nobbys beach. Each child is given a coloured wristband which identifies which surf group they belong. Look out for the coloured flags on the beach which identify which surf group is currently surfing. Announcements will be made as the surf group changes. A running schedule of the day will be published closer to the time.

SFA also caters for parents, carers and siblings, with events and activities for the whole family.
