Letter from CEO

Hi Hunter connect families and friends.

 

It has been brought to my attention with the closing of our Stockton office that rumours are being circulated that Hunter connect has ceased operation.

 

Please be reassured that this is not the case. Hunter Connect is still running monthly meetings at Medowie and Newcastle and will still have family fun events through out the year.

 

As you are all aware Hunter connect is run by volunteers and we rely on donations, grants and fundraising to fund our meetings, fun days and other programs we have to offer.

 

At the moment money is a little tight, but we have some grant applications in process, some fundraising ventures coming up and donations still coming in.

 

On that note I would like to take this opportunity to ask if anyone is interested in becoming an active Committee member or a casual volunteer, to help out at fundraising event such as Master BBQ’s etc.

 

As you all know it takes a lot of organising to bring fun days, camps and especially our Surfers for Autism event together, and with out active committee members and casual volunteer’s these things will not be possible to happen.
